Are you a lover of songs and songwriting and want to learn more?
Join us at The Chocolate Factory as we discover and explore the foundations of harmony, lyric writing, melody and song form in a safe, supportive, group environment.
Each week, we’ll meet at The Chocolate Factory to work on specific songwriting techniques, listen to musical examples, and share our progress and process from the week before. It doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned songwriter or you are just writing your first song, the creative and adventure is what it is all about! When it’s over you will have a deeper understanding of how songs are constructed and have a new collection of original material of your own to take out into the world!

Lyndhurst welcomes visitors to explore on their own, the wonders of this gilded age Mansion during the most spooky time of the year. Timed entries allow guests to take in seasonal and spirited decorations while strolling through this breathtaking historic home.
You will see the majestic vestibule and entrance hall, reception room, parlor, library, the sumptuous Victorian dining room, and art gallery – decorated with autumnal trimmings for the season!
As New York State continues to evaluate pandemic-related restrictions, Lyndhurst requires all visitors to provide proof of full Covid vaccination (14 days after the final shot) and continue to wear masks indoors at this time as a courtesy to fellow visitors and staff. Guests who are not vaccinated and children aged 2-11 who wish to join an indoor tour must provide proof of a negative COVID PCR test administered no sooner than 72 hrs. We will continue to evaluate these policies and make changes in the future, as appropriate.
All visitors must have a pre-purchased ticket to enter the Mansion. A limited number of tickets are available for each timed event and tickets do sell out. Please present printed tickets or have them available on your smartphone to show to Welcome Center staff when checking in for your timed event.
