The losses in revenue from both cancelling programming and closing our Visitor Center has done significant damage to Teatown’s finances. We appreciate your support, which is critical to our non-profit organization during this time. Parking tags are again required. Parking tags are required daily, from 9am to 5pm. Click here for more information on our parking policy. Members will always park for free at Teatown.

Donate

Teatown needs your support, now more than ever. To mitigate the transmission of COVID-19, we’ve had to close our Visitor Center and cancel programs, making it difficult for us to earn the revenue that funds our work. We welcome you to the preserve and ask you to please give a contribution today. Whether large or small, each donation will help support our staff, maintain our trails, and care for our wildlife ambassadors.

Wave Hill is a museum without walls with a living collection of more than 4,000 varieties of trees, shrubs, vines, and herbaceous plants. It is the only public garden in the New York metropolitan area practicing a unique combination of classic horticultural craftsmanship and daring design.

COVID Guidelines

Here you will find a multitude of linked gardens, distinct from one another and intimate, as well as wide-open stretches of land. Frequently described as an urban oasis, Wave Hill comes as an enchanting surprise. The 28-acre site itself is stunning—high above the Hudson River with sweeping views and lots of open sky.

Wave Hill’s 28-acre site includes gardens, greenhouses and an 8-acre woodland. As you explore Wave Hill, please remember that it is a carefully cultivated garden, which is very different from a park. Our tips and guidelines help you navigate our expansive grounds and protect our living collection. Please be respectful of all that grows here and have a wonderful time exploring.
