Teen Digital Art Shuffle is One River School’ core digital art and design class that brings fine art and technology together by providing students with the tools, software and inspiration to make art on a virtual canvas. Marshlands Conservancy is a 147-acre wildlife sanctuary composed of diverse habitats. Forest, meadow, salt marsh and shore can be explored and appreciated here. There are three miles of trails and one-half mile of shoreline along the Long Island Sound.
Located along the Atlantic migratory flyway, Marshlands is an excellent birdwatching location. More than 230 species have been sighted. The Marshlands salt marsh is one of few in New York accessible to the public for study and enjoyment.

Teatown is a 1000-acre nature preserve and education center with nearly 15 miles of hiking trails located in the Lower Hudson Valley. Our mission is to inspire our community to lifelong environmental stewardship.
$5 parking for non-members
The losses in revenue from both cancelling programming and closing our Visitor Center has done significant damage to Teatown’s finances. We appreciate your support, which is critical to our non-profit organization during this time. Parking tags are again required. Parking tags are required daily, from 9am to 5pm. Learn about the skies of February, including the rising of the Dog Star, Sirius, in the constellation of the Great Dog, Canis Major. Our science educators will also explore the planets currently gracing our evening skies, other sights big and small, and the latest space news and discoveries. Just like programs in the Planetarium, we’ll be able to take questions—this time through chat. Please register only once per household.

Muscoot Farm is interpretive farm where you can experience history, agriculture, and wildlife in a family-friendly atmosphere. Visit our 50+ animals, hike over 5 miles of trails, and attend our programs all year round – from bird walks to movie nights!
Muscoot Farm is part of the Westchester County Parks system.
Visit our animals by walking up to their pens or inside their barns. We have cows, horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and pigs.
Learn about the history of an early 1900s dairy farm in Westchester. View historic buildings such as the milk house, the ice house, the brooder house, and the carriage house.
Hike 6+ miles of scenic trails to observe local wildlife
Visitors may bring in food as well as visit our concession stand (open seasonally).

Are you curious how your lungs help you breathe and how your heart pumps blood? Doc Harmon needs you to report to the Museum Medic, STAT. In this immersive biology workshop, you’ll don a stethoscope and become a doctor, investigating the many different systems working behind the scenes to keep our bodies functioning properly! Make working models of your lungs and heart and figure out where they belong in the body. Shh… what’s that sound? Can you hear a real heart?

Mary Calvi’s 2019 novel Dear George, Dear Mary, reignited the discussion surrounding the potential relationship between George Washington and Mary Philipse. Once written off and forgotten to history, Calvi’s research shined a light on how much of a role Yonkers, the Philipse family and the daughter of a prominent Loyalist had on pre-Revolutionary War America, including impacting Washington’s heart. Join us on a guided tour as we explore the narratives surrounding their relationship and lasting results that potentially altered two countries futures!

Our professional ceramic artists will guide you through themed handbuilding projects that will be glazed and fired here at CAC. Projects will be available for pick up approximately 2 weeks after class. This is not a class that uses the pottery wheel. All materials and firing are included. Pre-registration is required.
