First Day Hike at Catskills Visitor Center

All ages are welcome on this hike.
Well-behaved pets are allowed on leash.
Join us at the Catskills Visitor Center for a nice three-quarters of a mile stroll along our Interpretive Loop Trail. Interpretive signage focused on the ecology and history of the area will be present, along with a view of the Upper Esopus Fire Tower, located on the grounds. The Upper Esopus Fire Tower is one of six towers included in the 2024 Catskill Fire Tower Challenge! Start off the New Year by knocking off this tower from your list and complete the other five tower hikes within the year to receive prizes.
This hike will be led by David Hans from the Catskills Visitor Center.
Special Instructions: Bring gear for both cold and snowy weather. Gloves, footwear, and coats should be insulating, and potentially water-resistant/waterproof. Snowshoes and/or crampons may be necessary and will be available to rent on location if needed.
