Campers of all levels will enjoy the day program at Boulder Brook. Campers will receive daily riding instructions as well as important lessons in horse care and stable management. They will also participate in a wide variety of horse games, crafts and activities created by Mary Houston. Every Friday we supply a pizza lunch for our campers!

Me & My Doll Camping Adventure, Ages 6 & up

A fun sewing and crafting camp where students will make a doll dress and moccasins, a fleece blanket, a pillow, s’mores and more related accessories for an 18″ doll. In addition to hand sewing they will enjoy games, arts and crafts and play time with the dolls!

Please note – half day camps will make a dress, pillow, blanket and s’mores.

Girl Power, Ages 6 & up

A week of crafts, hand sewing and machine sewing. Projects include a fleece blanket, a pillow, a backpack and other accessories with a “Girl Power” or “Boy Power” theme. Please note:

1. Students younger than 8 will be hand sewing and NOT machine sewing unless they have attended one of our 10-12 week sewing machine schools.

Fashion Design, Ages 8 & up

Fashion Design camp is for aspiring fashionistas and includes fashion drawing, mood boards, logo design, draping, designing and making garments for mini mannequins and creating a wearable outfit for themselves. This camp involves machine sewing.

Weekly Camps: July 6 – August 21, 2020

Monday – Friday, 9 am – 3 pm

Ages 6-12

$295 per rider per week

With a different theme each week, your young rider is bound to have fun! All activities are age and skill level appropriate, and will focus around the theme of the week! Sign your child up for this outdoor summer program which allows your child to explore, enjoy and learn about caring for one of the most beautiful animals, the horse. Riders will learn about caring, bonding and trusting through the use of the horse. Opportunities in decision making, leadership skills and social skills will enrich the experience with the ultimate goal of improved self-awareness, self-image and self-reliance.

Activities include a daily group lesson with trail ride, grooming and tacking, mounted games, horsemanship, hiking, crafts, outdoor cooking all related to the theme of the week.

Session 1: Colonial July 6th-10th, Ride side saddle, make candles, run relay races

Session 2: Medieval, July 13th-17th, Learn about war horses, build a castle, make a shield

Session 3: Native American, July 20th-24th, Ride bareback, paint a live horse, make rain sticks

Session 4: Circus, July 27th-31st, Tightrope walk, clown around, face paint

Session 5: Hawaiian, August 3rd-7th, River hike, water games, tie-dye

Session 6: Enchanted Forest, August 10th-14th, Make fairy houses, hike Sherwood Forest, picnic with dragons

Session 7: Western, August 17th-21st, Learn about the rodeo, practice roping, make cowboy hats
