Join us for a day of creativity and history as we honor the achievements of African Americans and encourage the dreams of young minds!
Dream Big Activities include:
Dolls of Dreams (9:30 am-5:00 pm): Kids create a doll that represents themselves and attach it to the Freedom Bell.
Time Capsule (1:00 pm – 3:00 pm): Kids will create their own capsule filled with today’s stories, discoveries, and dreams, reflecting on the moments and ideas that inspired them this past year. They can take their capsule home to add even more memories, then open it in January 2027—or anytime during the year—for a special peek back in time.
Dream Wall & Book Nook (9:30 am-5:00 pm): Kids can write their dreams on colorful strips of paper and add them to the Dream Wall. Also, our book nook features books and images about historical African Americans. This collection aims to shine a light on the remarkable achievements and contributions of African Americans throughout history.
Straw Rocket Launch (January 20-25, 1:00 pm-3:00 pm): Kids will design and launch a straw rocket inspired by their biggest goals, then blast it sky-high! This hands-on activity lets young innovators design, test, and send their aspirations soaring.
