Children will be transported back to 1861 as they are drafted into the ranks of a fighting battalion and live the life of a Civil War soldier at Camp Lasdon. This promises to be a unique and truly immersive experience that will give children a first-hand understanding of what life as a soldier was like during the Civil War, while gaining a unique perspective into our nation’s history. Hosted by Battery B of Rhode Island

Civil War Soldier Experience at Lasdon Park in Katonah, NY

While it looks like we are having a battle, Clermont and Staatsburgh are really great friends! Especially since we share so much Livingston family history! Here is a not-too-messy food fight your kids can enjoy in July, with a chance to win some chef swag and online acclaim!

We are excited that you’re going to enter our contest and make a “faux food” culinary concoction! The
goal of this contest is to have fun and be as imaginative as you want to be. You can make something
that people could actually eat, something you and your family would LOVE to eat, or even something
your family would never let you eat in real life!

You can make your faux (fake) culinary creation using any medium you want: drawing, painting,
sculpture, photo … you name it! Just send us a cool picture of your masterpiece, and fill out the form
below, to enter the contest. We can’t wait to see your creation!

All entries must be received by August 1, 2021. One entry per child

How to enter:

1. Fill out this ENTRY FORM and save it to your computer as a PDF
2. Attach this form, with one or more pictures of your culinary creation, to an email addressed to: Please have photos in the form of .jpg, .jpeg, .tiff, .bmp, or .pdf.
3. If you would like to, and your parent or guardian approves, we would love to have a picture of you,
or you and your family, with your culinary creation!
4. You will receive an email acknowledgement that your entry has been received.
