With a different theme each week, your young rider is bound to have fun! All activities are age and skill level appropriate, and will focus around the theme of the week! Sign your child up for this outdoor summer program which allows your child to explore, enjoy and learn about caring for one of the most beautiful animals, the horse. Riders will learn about caring, bonding and trusting through the use of the horse. Opportunities in decision making, leadership skills and social skills will enrich the experience with the ultimate goal of improved self-awareness, self-image and self-reliance.
Activities include a daily group lesson with trail ride, grooming and tacking, mounted games, horsemanship, hiking, crafts, outdoor cooking all related to the theme of the week.
Session 1: Colonial July 6th-10th, Ride side saddle, make candles, run relay races
Session 2: Medieval, July 13th-17th, Learn about war horses, build a castle, make a shield
Session 3: Native American, July 20th-24th, Ride bareback, paint a live horse, make rain sticks
Session 4: Circus, July 27th-31st, Tightrope walk, clown around, face paint
Session 5: Hawaiian, August 3rd-7th, River hike, water games, tie-dye
Session 6: Enchanted Forest, August 10th-14th, Make fairy houses, hike Sherwood Forest, picnic with dragons
Session 7: Western, August 17th-21st, Learn about the rodeo, practice roping, make cowboy hats
