Experiments in Video: Eye on Editing

Look to the future as you learn editing techniques that will make your films pop. Plan, shoot, and cut scenes while exploring concepts such as match on action and crosscutting. Take your technique to the next level and craft your edits during the filming process, because, as many editors learn the hard way, you can’t always fix it in post. Adobe Premiere Pro CC will be your go-to software.

Four-week workshops are a phenomenal introduction to the creative world of visual storytelling. Bring your imagination, and get ready to play and experiment with hands-on media-making. PLEASANTVILLE- Animation: Brave New World Gr. 6 – 8 @ Jacob Burns Film Center

Projects in Animation: Brave New World
It’s time to get your hands dirty. Cut, glue, staple, tape, draw, and paint as you build animation sets from scratch. Bring your unique miniature worlds to life with the help of your fellow visionaries and the magic of the stop-motion animation software Dragonframe.

Experienced students deepen their skills by bringing projects from preproduction to postproduction, and also enhance their practices of collaboration and reflection. Working together, the team creates one project. Six-week experiences are right for learners who have had a taste of the Lab and want to improve their visual media-making skills. Experiments in Animation: Clay Creations
Mold and sculpt your way through a cluster of kooky projects. Bend your creations through a tricky obstacle course, help them shape-shift, and even teach them to super-jump while you learn the fundamentals of stop-motion animation. Use state-of-the-art equipment and the professional animation software Dragonframe. Perfect for beginners and returning students alike!
