POUGHKEEPSIE – Teen Work: Yoga for Teens 13+ @ Mindful Yoga With Liz

Yoga for Teens is so much more than just stretching and exercising. Being a Teenager isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. From moral issues, social media challenges, to peer pressure and much more, teens face the same challenges as we do. When given the proper tools, our teens learn to deal with every day life challenges in a whole new way! This results in better focus, concentration and better judgment.

RED HOOK – Teen Aerial Yoga @ Rainbow Body Yoga

Aerial yoga is perfect for teens, especially athletes! In an aerial class, muscles often receive a deeper stretch than in a mat class. By inverting, teens experience a feeling of freedom and release, while also reaping the benefits of additional blood flow to the brain and a release of pressure on the spine. In addition, the added support of a swing allows teens to experience poses they may have been reluctant to try in a traditional class. Cool beats, guided meditations and visualizations, and self-empowerment are also important components of this class. Teens love company! Sign up your teen and their bestie!

Sundays, April 14th & April 28th 2019

2:30 – 3:30 pm

Aerial Drop In Single Class: $18
1st Week Unlimited Aerial Classes: $40
Aerial 5 Class Card: $85
Aerial 10 Class Card: $160
Aerial 20 Class Card: $280

An aerial yoga hammock provides deep tissue pressure which is calming to the nervous system. This provides feelings of relaxation and well-being; perfect for developing bodies and minds.

This class is taught by Michele Anderson, RYT 200 and certified Special Education Teacher of nearly 20 years. Michele brings movement, mindfulness and relaxation techniques into every class, in a non-competitive way.

RED HOOK – Aerial for Kids (ages 7-11) @ Rainbow Body Yoga

Kids will have fun exploring different poses and learning to trust themselves in this class. Aerial yoga takes the elements of a traditional mat class and brings them off the floor so kids can experience floating, flying, and inverting in an exciting way. Learning to trust oneself and stepping outside the comfort zone are key features of this class.
