SCARSDALE – Summer Camp Week 8: Creature Feature @ Greenburgh Nature Center

 

Each day, we will discover a new featured creature from the animal kingdom in this week of creature fun! We’ll touch the world’s softest animal, find out what hides in our forest during the day and who’s out at night. Get ready to keep on creature adventuring!

TUXEDO PARK – Skulls, Bones and Beaks @ Sterling Forest State Park

Geared towards children ages 6 – 13

 

 

Skulls and bones are much more than just Halloween decorations or props used on the set of a horror movie. Join us at Sterling Forest and learn more about the not so spooky world of bones! Learn how to read the stories that bones tell, like what an animal eats, how well it can see, and why chicken bones are hollow. Then finish up the day by making a skull of your very own!

 

No need to bring anything; all will be provided and be prepared to have fun!

What is warm-blooded, has scales and lays eggs? Reptiles of course! Your child will spend the week meeting a wide range of our reptilian friends with an expert naturalist. Give a tortoise a bath, feel the scales of a snake, and dive into the wild world of radiant reptiles.
