10 – 11:30 am

For ages 3 – 5

For the second year running, Romina and Gina are excited to continue this STEAM-based experience on Friday mornings for 3-5 year olds. Using a thematic approach, students will be guided in magical explorations of music and art through stories, music, movement, art-making, and natural materials. STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) concepts will be interwoven throughout the arts experiences, giving children a multifaceted understanding of the world around them that is developmentally on target for their age.

This year, we are offering a one-hour open play extension before class! Students enrolled in this option will arrive at 9 am to participate in open ended, thoughtfully curated play stations, and enjoy a “fruit cafe” snack area. At 9:45 am we will wrap up and prepare for the arrival of the rest of the class at 10 am. This extension is only available to students registered in Elements and is an additional $10 a week.

Taught by Romina Robinson and Gina Samardge

9 am – 12 pm

We invite families interested in learning more about High Meadow School in Stone Ridge to join us for a Lower School Open House, focused on our Toddler, Pre-Kindergarten, and Elementary school programs. Take a tour of our campus and facilities, visit with administrators, students, and current parents, and get answers about our academic programs and curriculum, student life, community, and admissions process.

Take part in a drumming session, a story share, a hike on our nature trail, and craft-making. At 11:00 AM, Head of School, Dr. Susan Paynter, will share an overview of what makes HMS a unique learning environment set up to “nurture each child’s love of learning by engaging their intrinsic curiosity in nature, one another, play, and creative expression, and to empower each child to be an independent thinker who has a personal voice by providing opportunities to authentically and compassionately participate as a member of a diverse, democratic community.” High Meadow School admits students year-round into our Toddler Program through 8th Grade.
