In Clay Class, we explore how a lump of mud becomes a shiny ceramic object. Each week students are introduced to a basic hand-building technique. What they make using the skill of the week is entirely up to the student! This class supports our theme of the school year, Sustainability and the Environment as clay is derived directly from the and is one of the most natural materials you can use to make art.



Instructor: Kerry Pharmer


Kerry Pharmer was born and raised in the Hudson Valley. She studied art at the Maine College of Art and has a BFA in Sculpture from SUNY New Paltz. Kerry is an artist, mother, and amateur naturalist. She has exhibited her artwork throughout the Hudson Valley and NJ and has organized a number of site-specific public sculpture projects. Currently, Kerry teaches art classes for children and adults and is pursuing a Masters degree in Creative Arts Therapy at Pratt Institute.

STONE RIDGE – Gymnastics After-School Program @ High Meadow School

Gain Flexibility, Strength & Motor Skills

For PreK – 1st Grade





Our one-hour recreational class providing an introduction to gymnastics, where we start each student with the core elements of gymnastics, followed by total body conditioning and more difficult tricks. We want children to enjoy learning in a safe and non-competitive environment. Your child will begin each class with a group warm-up employing their large muscle groups to increase flexibility and overall strength, in addition to raising their heart rate. Our informative coaches will teach them progression drills & skills to stretch, strengthen and develop at a level comfortable to each individual. Activities include tumbling, low bar, floor beam, and motor skills.



Instructors: Nancy Shaver-Conklin and Caroline Langer


Nancy has been coaching since 1986 at UCCC College for Kids, The Arts Community in New Paltz, the Town of Rochester, the Town of Marbletown and was Gymnastics Head Coach at Rondout Valley School District. She will be assisted by Caroline Langer who has been an assistant Gymnastics coach for seven years and an assistant Ninja coach for two years with the Marbletown Youth Commission.

Sing and Move Jamboree is a singalong-style class that will get your child moving! Welcoming children ages 0-5, this 45-minute class combines classic children’s songs and yoga-inspired movement with the exploration of rhythm and melody through props and small instruments. This class also exposes your child to the banjo and violin through fun, American folk tunes tailored for children.

TUCKAHOE – Cooking Together (Ages 3-6y) @ Lil Chameleon


Thursdays: September 19, 26, October 3, 10, 2019


4:15 – 5 pm


Ages 3 – 6






Each week in this 4 week program Chef Jen and the Lil ones enjoy a group cooking project together. Depending on each week’s recipe, the Lil chefs prep, slice and dice, shred, grate and create together building fine motor skills along the way. Then as a group, they explore taste and texture while sharing what they made. Following the 4 week program, recipes will be available online. Enjoy 30 min open play following the class
