The Capital Region’s hometown fair features midway rides and games, Royal Hanneford Circus, World of Wonders sideshow acts under the big top, Fearless Flores Family Motorcycle Thrill Show, live music, motorsports, Dynamo Dogs show, Jennifer’s All Creatures Barnyard Races & Petting Zoo, Jay Mattioli Magic Show, Sherman’s Lumberjack Show, livestock events, horse and pony shows, agriculture presentations, exhibits, Farmers Market, Altamont Country Store, Blue Ribbon Cooking Center activities, museum attractions, demonstrations, competitions, Beer Saloon, favorite fair food and more.

The Orangetown Parks and Recreation Office will sponsor the twenty first Annual “Movie Night in the Park” at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Orangeburg.


Returning to the program this year will be The Bossy Frog Band. The Bossy Frog Band’s performances are high energy, banjo driven, and include sing-a-longs with Bossy the Frog and other characters. The Bossy Frog Band has performed for over 100,000 children and families and their most recent album, “15 Songs Every Kid Should Know (and will Love!)” won a Parents’ Choice award.


Big Wave International will be setting up a 20 ft by 24 ft movie screen, a giant video projection system with stereo surround sound for a return to the 60’s and 70’s when drive-in movies were popular.


The night will also include Jumpy Castles provided by Bouncin Around Town of Blauvelt as well as face painting, balloon animals & more!


Residents will be able to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to enjoy a summer evening in front of the big screen.

This family-fun tradition since 1886 features midway rides and games for all ages, concerts, an educational petting zoo, Wednesday night fireworks, horse shows, livestock shows and pulling contests, truck and tractor pulls, chainsaw carving, wool spinning and weaving demonstrations, 4-H and community exhibits, favorite fair food and more!


Daily entertainment includes “The Strong Man” John Beatty, the old-time Amazing Patent Medicine and Magic Show, Robinson’s Racing Pigs, Two By Two Zoo and chainsaw carver Josh Landry.


Headline concert acts are 90 Proof (Rock/Country; 7:30 pm Tuesday); Craig Morgan (Country/ Faith-based, 8 pm Wednesday); Confederate Railroad (Country, 8 pm Thursday); Little Texas (Country, 8 pm Friday); Cook & Belle (Country, 7 pm Saturday); Seth Cook (Country, 8 pm Saturday); and Fran Cosmo, formerly of Boston (Rock, 5:30 pm Sunday).


Other events include the Garden Tractor Pull (6 pm Tuesday); Horse Shows (Wednesday – Sunday); Truck Pull (7 pm Thursday); Antique Tractor Pull (6 pm Friday); and Baby Contest (11 am Sunday).
