Getting started in hockey has never been easier or more convenient! This introductory program will teach your child the basic skills of skating, stick-handling, passing and shooting through 10, 1-hour lessons. In addition, they will learn the importance of hard work, teamwork and sportsmanship. Best of all, your child’s registration also includes a brand new set of CCM hockey equipment custom fitted by our friends at Pure Hockey. This year we will be offering three seasons of Learn to Play throughout the year and your child has the opportunity to participate in each one!

SUNDAYS at 11 am

SEASON 1: September 9 – November. 11, 2018

SEASON 2: November 18, 2018 – January 20, 2019

SEASON 3: January 27 – March 31, 2019

For ages 5 – 9

$195 per session

Each sessions includes:

TUESDAYS
4:00pm Snowplow 1, Basic 1-3, Hockey
4:30pm Snowplow 1-3, Basic 1, 4-6

 

SATURDAYS
12:00pm Snowplow 1-3, Basic 1-3, Adults, Hockey
12:30pm Snowplow 1,2, Basic 1, 4-6, PreFreeskate

 

FEES
2 classes/week $520 or 1 class/week $320*
Rolling admission –  Pro-rating available

 

*Price includes:
❖ Weekly 30 minute group lesson
❖ Skate rental on lesson day & during Public Skating
❖ Public Skating on Tuesdays 3:00pm – 5:00pm & Saturdays 1:00pm – 2:30pm.

 

The Ice Hutch offers skating lessons all year-round for children (age 4+) and adults of all levels. The skating school is a proud member of the US Figure Skating Basic Skills Program. The mission of the Basic Skills Program is to provide a goal-oriented program that encourages ice skating at all levels and to enhance the quality of skating skills at these levels.

The objectives of the program are:

  • To provide a fun and safe skating experience for the beginner as well as the more advanced skater.
  • To teach correct technique of the simple basic elements.
  • To promote health and physical fitness.
  • To enable all participants to achieve the skills necessary to either skate for fun the rest of their lives or to move competently into the U.S. Figure Skating advanced test and/or competitive structure.

Please note:

❖ New skaters ages 4-6 should register for Snowplow 1. New skaters ages 7 & up should register for Basic 1
❖ There are no refunds. Make-ups will not be offered for missed classes.
❖ Skaters in a class with less than 3 or greater than 12 skaters may be notified and moved to another time slot.
❖ All skaters will be issued a name tag, which must be worn every week to class AND to public skating.
❖ In the event of inclement weather please check www.icehutch.com for cancelations/closings.

 

Equipment:

❖ Helmets are required for all skaters ages 6 & under and for Hockey classes.
❖ Mittens or Gloves
❖ The rink temperature will vary. Layered clothing that does not restrict movement is recommended.
❖ Only 1 pair of thin socks should be worn with skates.
