GOSHEN – FREE Pets Alive Kids Team @ Glen Arden

Join us for a fun learning experience! We will start the afternoon off with the reading of Ginger Finds a Home, a story of a A little, hungry ginger cat who lives on his own in a patch of weeds. We will wrap up the afternoon by making enrichment toys for the cats up for adoption at Pets Alive.

SUNDAY, January 27, 2019, 1- 2:30 pm

All age groups are welcome, as one is never too young or too old to show compassion and respect to animals and people!

There is no charge for attending but attendees are encouraged to bring donations of paper towels, kitchen garbage bags or canned cat food.

We do ask that you register so we know how many will be attending.

Thank you to Petfinder Foundation for investing in Pets Alive and making this program possible through a grant award!

MONTGOMERY- Holiday Lights in Bloom @ Orange County Arboretum

Holiday Lights in Bloom @ Orange County Arboretum

Please come and explore the beauty and wonder of the Arboretum! Be sure to visit this “ever growing” event and make it part of your family’s holiday traditions.

November 23rd though December 30th 2018

5 – 8 pm

FREE and will be open to the public

There may be a chill in the air but the Arboretum will be in “full bloom” with beautiful, garden themed light displays in the forms of flowers, animals and insects. Children, and adults alike, will be charmed as they stroll down paths of lit trees, walk through gardens filled with flowers and “critters”, visit the 9/11 Memorial Garden decorated in patriotic splendor and stop at the water’s edge of a pond created in lights.

The Friends will be offering a wonderful selection of merchandise hand crafted by the Arboretum’s dedicated group of volunteer “elves” that will be ideal for your decorating and gift giving needs. The Arboretum Holiday Boutique offers a beautiful selection of handmade ornaments, wreaths, garland, fresh centerpieces, miniature trees, hand knitted hats and scarves, birdhouses, holiday linens, and honey collected from the Arboretum’s bee hives are just a small sampling of what will be available. If you just want to shop, and skip the light program, the Boutique will open starting November 23rd from 2 to 8 pm and Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from 5 to 8 pm ending December 17th  in conjunction with the Holiday Lights in Bloom program. All proceeds raised at the Boutique help fund the beautiful plantings and various educational programs at the Arboretum.

The Arboretum is located within Thomas Bull Memorial Park on State Route 416 in Montgomery and is most easily accessed from the Grove St. entrance to the Park.
