The Wolf Conservation Center participates in the Species Survival Plan (SSP and Recovery Plan for the critically endangered red wolf. But what does this really mean? Join us to learn what it takes to help save a species from the brink of extinction. Guests will get an inside look at the challenges currently facing the red wolf population both in the wild and captivity, and what these challenges mean for the future of this species. Guests will visit the WCC’s ambassador wolves and potentially behold the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves.

There is a lot happening in Teatown Lake as fall approaches. Dragonflies dart and zoom, turtles come up to bask, and fish rise to the bait. The animals that you don’t see are just as interesting, so grab a net and get scooping!

Parking

To help manage increased visitation to our preserve during peak periods, Teatown will charge $5 to non-members for parking on weekends and holidays.

Teatown offers environmental education programs to 20,000 adults and children each year and has over 15 miles of gorgeous hiking trails. Trails are open daily from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year. Stop at the Visitor’s Center to grab a map of the trails, shop at the Nature Store, visit our exhibits and take a rest after a long hike.

Learn about Biodiversity & Local Habitats! Visit our Pond, River, Forest, Woodland Pool, Rocky Summit & Grassland habitat stations to complete your Habitat Passport. When you complete the activity at each station you get a stamp. Collect all stamps & win a prize, while discovering ways you can help protect & provide habitat for wildlife.

ABOUT THE MUSEUMS

Parking is located at Bear Mountain State Park & $10/vehicle.

Allow 20 minutes to walk from parking lot to Trailside & 1 to 2 hours to enjoy Trailside–the wildlife on exhibit, the views, museums & landscape.

We welcome everyone to our farm and orchard for this year’s amazing apple harvest!

Activities include apple picking, a pumpkin patch, wagon rides, pony rides, inflatables, many food vendors and more activities for children!

Don’t forget to grab cider donuts, sweet apple cider, apple pies and other offerings from the farm store!

We offer apple picking 7 days a week and the store is open everyday as well so come on a weekday if you’re looking for a more laid back experience.

ORCHARD/PICKING HOURS:

Daily in September & October, 7 days/ week, 9 am – 4:30 pm

FESTIVAL DATES:

Weekends in SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER as well as 9/10, 9/11, 9/19, 10/8!

10 am – 5 pm

Activities are $5-$10 per person per event CASH ONLY (ATMs available in our farm store)

All additional people outside this ratio will be charged $5

*You must purchase an apple picking bag prior to entering the orchard to pick apples. Absolutely NO large bags/backpacks, totes, coolers, grocery/plastic bags allowed inside of the orchard.
