BREWSTER – Learn to Skate (Session 4) @ Brewster Ice Arena

Whether a skater’s goal is hockey, figure skating or recreational proficiency, this is the place to start! Through the Learn To Skate program, classes are offered several days a week, to accommodate most any busy lifestyle. Level availability varies, depending upon day/time.

BREWSTER – Yoga & Journaling with The Town of Southeast

This class involves an exploration of yoga in a safe and encouraging environment. Students will engage in yoga poses (asana), breathing (pranayama) and relaxation techniques that can help build a great awareness of self, focusing on our own inner beauty while also exploring creativity, balance, strength and flexibility. We will use journaling to examine our goals, feelings and thoughts resulting in more positive self awareness and self-esteem. We will also be practicing mindfulness toward ourselves and others.

Instructor Jennifer is a certified 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher. She trained at YogaHaven in Scarsdale. She also trained in Kids Yoga at YogaHaven in Tuckahoe. She is currently teaching classes for adults and children. Please visit us on Facebook at Milliyoga. We look forward to seeing you!

KERHONKSON – Awosting Falls Snowshoe Walk @ Minnewaska State Park Preserve


The best prescription to cure cabin fever is to get outside and enjoy the wonders of winter. Get a taste of the cure and come join Laura Conner, Environmental Educator, for an approximately two-and-a-half mile-long snowshoe walk along the charming Awosting Falls Carriage Road.

This program is recommended for physically fit adults and children ages 9+.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18.


Leaving from the Peter’s Kill Area, our route will take us on a slight uphill grade past a towering rock formation and along the Peter’s Kill stream, before reaching our destination, the iconic 65 foot tall Awosting Falls.


A limited number of snowshoes are available for participants to borrow for this program from the education department. Otherwise, snowshoes may be rented for this program from the Park for a fee of $5 per person. Early arrival is suggested if you would like to borrow snowshoes. If there is insufficient snow cover, this program will be offered as a hike.

ARDSELY – Holiday Camp @ House of Sports


When school is closed, the House of Sports is open. On school vacation days, the House of Sports runs holiday camps for K-8th grade boys and girls. Daily camps are offered in basketball, lacrosse, soccer, baseball, volleyball and multi-sport! It is a great way to have a fun and exciting day while improving your son’s/daughter’s on-field/on-court skills.
