BEACON – Still Still Moving Art Exhibition @ Howland Cultural Art Center

The Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, New York is pleased to present Still Still Moving, an exhibition of upwards of 80 drawings, prints, photographs and paintings by over 30 artists in celebration of Women’s History Month 2019. The show, curated by Eleni Smolen, TheoGanz Studio, will be on view from March 2 – 31, 2019. The opening reception is Saturday, March 2nd from 2:30 – 4:30 pm. Come and join us!

BEACON- Kids + Canvas – “What Did The Fox Say” @ Eat. Paint. LOVE.

Bring the little ones in for some quality creative time! We have designed a program for a wide age range that is ever changing from weekend to weekend. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Smaller aged children must be assisted by their adult but the adult does not need to be registered to do so.  Parents are encouraged to register themselves and paint with their child.

We will walk you through creating an 8x 10″ masterpiece!

BEACON – Crazy for Collage ! with Beacon Art Adventures

Creativity is key in this expressive, mixed media class. We’ll create decorative paper using painting and printing techniques, and use this paper and other materials to create a dynamic, unique collage.

 

 

5 WEDNESDAYS: February 20, 27, March 6, 13 & 20

 

 

4 – 5:30 pm

 

 

For inspiration, we will take a look at the work of Henri Matisse and Eric Carle, two artists known for their collage art. Classes are $110 per student, per class which includes all materials and fees.

BEACON – 2D Art Studio (Ages 8 & up) with Beacon Art Adventures

This class is for kids who love to draw, and who are ready to take on new challenges with their art. They will learn about line, shape, form, beginning perspective, value, composition and other ways to bring their art up to the next level. Students will work both from observation and imagination, and will create both individual and collaborative artworks. (Ages 8 & up)

 

 

5 TUESDAYS: February 19, 26, March  5, 12 & 19

 

 

4 – 5:30 pm
