The Power of Trees

The Power of Trees will celebrate the critical role of trees in combatting climate change.

Saturday, March 25, 2023 | 9 am – 1 pm

at Fox Lane High School

Healthy Trees provide essential ecosystem services like clean air and water, fertile soil, plentiful habitat, and increased biodiversity. However, 1/3 of all tree species are endangered, posing a threat to global health. We have a fantastic lineup of speakers, hands-on activities, and real-world tips to protect our tree canopy. With everything from nature-inspired yoga to mindfulness, a delicious brunch from Ladle of Love, and 50+ exhibitors… Regardless of experience or age, we invite everyone to take Climate Action NOW and embrace the Power of Trees!

Trees are greatly threatened by the changing climate. We can act locally to help the future of our forests, neighborhoods, and towns. Our “Healthy Trees for a Healthy Planet” webinar provides an overview of action items including forest management, planting for climate adaptability, managing invasive species, and participating in citizen science.

Bedford 2030 addresses the urgent issue of climate change through the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and preservation of natural resources. We organize a grassroots effort in our community to achieve aggressive climate action goals identified in the Bedford Climate Action Plan.
