DESCRIPTION:1st &amp\; 3rd Thursdays that the university is in session\n\nA
 pril 7th &amp\; 21st times:\n\nPlanetarium at 6:30 pm (7:30 pm if necessar
 y)\n\nObservatory open 8:30 - 10:30 pm if sky is clear\n\nAppropriate for 
 ages 7 &amp\; up\n\nThere is a suggested ticket price of $5 per seat.\n\nR
 ESERVE TICKETS NOW\n\nThe program begins with an indoor planetarium show a
 t the John R. Kirk Planetarium.    After the planetarium show\, Smolen O
 bservatory will be open for telescope viewing only if the sky is clear (ti
 ckets are not required at the Observatory). Call the Observatory at 845-25
 7-1110 to hear a message indicating if the public viewing has been cancele
 d due to cloudy weather. Visitors can participate in either the planetariu
 m show\, observatory telescope viewing\, or both. Astronomy Night telescop
 e viewing begins shortly after sunset and therefore the start time changes
  according to the seasons.\n\nTickets are REQUIRED for the planetarium sho
 w. Tickets for Astronomy Night Planetarium shows become available one week
  prior to each show. A second show will be offered if the first show reach
 es capacity.\n\nMasks are no longer required\, but can be worn by any gues
 t if they choose. Visitors show *proof of full vaccination or a negative 7
 2-hour COVID-19 test*. Proof of full vaccination may include a CDC vaccina
 tion card or a valid New York State Excelsior Pass. New Paltz faculty\, st
 aff and students will be admitted by showing their campus ID\, as they are
  already required to be vaccinated or participate in periodic COVID-19 tes
 ting. Audience members who feel unwell\, have symptoms of COVID-19 or have
  recently been exposed to someone with COVID-19 should not attend in-perso
