Open Barn at Stony Kill Farm in Wappingers Falls

Open Barn at Stony Kill

Saturdays & Sundays | February – November

11 am – 1 pm

FREE

The Stony Kill Foundation Open Barn program connects the local community and out of town visitors to the rich agricultural history of the Hudson Valley.  Every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 1pm (February – November), our dedicated team of volunteer barn guides open the Stony Kill Barn up to the public and share their love and knowledge of the farm’s historic breeds.

The Open Barn program is free, and no appointment is necessary.

Stony Kill Foundation is one of many farms across the country working to preserve many historically significant breeds of heritage livestock.  From our critically endangered Milking Devon Cattle and Auburn Java Chickens to the rest of our heritage livestock, Stony Kill Foundation works diligently to protect these breeds of yesteryear by educating the public and creating a place for them in modern agriculture. We hope you’ll join us in promoting and preserving these special breeds.

In addition to the Open Barn visits, our animals can often be observed grazing in the pasture.  Be sure to drop by the farm in the evenings to catch a glimpse!
