No previous experience with Shakespeare or acting is necessary.

In this workshop we will focus on the clues Shakespeare puts in his text for actors. Using Romeo and Juliet, As You Like, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and more, young actors will be on their feet, discovering ways to express themselves with voice and body. We will also explore how the tools we use to unlock Shakespeare can be used in the modern world. At the end of the session, students will show their work by presenting their work for parents and friends, and their scene or soliloquy will be professionally filmed and edited for their personal use.
