Arts in the Park! 2024 is a free public arts series being held outdoors in various locations within Newburgh’s Downing Park beginning June 8, 3:30 – 5:00 PM with a live musical concert by The Trio SuWaSa. Partnering with producer Chapman Steamer Arts, the series is being supported in part by the City of Newburgh Public Art Works Program. Events continue through July 6 and include Plein Air Sketching with local artist Mary Jane Ward, African dance classes with Melody Africa, a Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra concert, Mazarte Dance Company performance and an art making workshop with Chat Travieso. All ages and abilities welcome and encouraged to attend.
