Acting: The Actor’s Craft on Camera
Explore the essential filmmaker-performer relationship through original scenes as well as existing scripts, and discover what makes a performance work on screen. Valuable for aspiring actors and directors alike!

In Creators’ Co-op, high school students deepen their craft by collaboratively producing original projects as members of a production crew, attending workshops on specific aspects of filmmaking, and taking advantage of our state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. With individualized mentorship and the support of a peer network, the Creators’ Co-op community offers a dynamic experience for every student.

Experiments in Sound, Gr. 3-8

Four-week workshops are a phenomenal introduction to the creative world of visual storytelling. Bring your imagination, and get ready to play and experiment with hands-on media-making. Students focus on short projects as they are introduced to the collaborative process and also explore independently. Explore our other Experiments workshops: AnimationVideo, and Gaming.

Experiments in Sound: Pod People
Write, produce, and record an audio series in the Lab’s Recording Studio. You’ll learn to use ProTools and Ableton Live to design an immersive layered soundscape that will captivate your audience.

Learn the process of directing and producing a short documentary, including writing a treatment, scouting locations, conducting exciting interviews, and capturing B-roll. You’ll experience firsthand the many roles of a doc filmmaker.
